Some interesting results have been falling in for the last six weeks. Poll after poll seems to indicate that the five EU commissioners and those that pull the strings may be losing influence. There is every indication that the globalist EU may have overplayed their hand, leading to the collapse of their dreams of a a post democratic empire and the ability of citizens to appoint those who represent them in a meaningful way.
The EU is on the verge of economic collapse. The disastrously economic policies which got us here have even been confirmed by the ‘high dragon’ of globalist ideology, Angela Merkel. In a recent speech to CDN youth, she admitted that multiculturalism had been a catastrophic failure.
But that does not mean we should celebrate a victory for freedom and democracy just yet. Mao Tse-Tung has been totally discredited a long time, yet communism has not been completely from the world even now.
There is always another person, even another generation, willing to embrace what seems to most rational people as defunct or patently ridiculous. How else would we still have socialism? or worse yet, communist regime in a world in where history shows that it is an ideology which has murdered more than any other?.
So, is the EU doomed?. Very possibly, and here are the key reasons why:
- The European Council on Foreign Relations themselves have predicted an existential crisis ahead.
In a recent poll of 14 countries conducted by the admittedly biased European Council, the results show that the majority of Europeans no longer believe in the European Union.
It is important to note that, although the majority of Europeans in those countries polled do not believe that the European Union will survive, it does not mean that they do not believe in a “Unified Europe”. It may just mean that, they do not wish to hand total power to five people and those that and corporate and power motivated influences that control them. Perhaps, with some reform, even surface deep, unfortunately, this could change, but this looks increasingly unlike as the globalists become ever more ideologically focussed and more divorced from anyone not in the 0.001% trying to create a dynasty of unopposed rule.
Of the 14 countries polled, only Sweden (the suicide nation), Denmark and Spain had any positive value for the existence (not success, merely existence) of the EU. Of those, it was still 40% and up that the globalists ”EU project” can survive. Hardly a ”big win”.
66% Slovakians supported the motion.
68% of French citizens polled agreed.
- Brexit
In a recent ”Yougov” survey (hardly reliable but a bit of an indication) across 7 EU countries found that a very significant majority in every country believe that “Brexit” would have a domino effect. Many believe that anti EU, globalist sentiment is so high, that where the UK ”Brexit” leads, others would very much like to follow.
For example, those in Denmark voted 66% in favour of this, and 57% in Norway to name but two.
Many believe that, given the precarious position of the European Monetary Union, the EU hangs upon a knife edge of a recession which could create an unstoppable financial crash which would make the prior economic shock look like the shadow of an aftershock. With the vital EU funding from Germany at risk as Germany finds itself in dire straits and the other Euro Zone countries under severe pressure from an unsustainable monetary union, will the chickens finally come home to roost?.
- Populism
The idea that, our political elite actually do something they were elected to do or address the concerns shared by the majority of the population has been demonized by the mainstream media. But just think about that for a moment. Is it so much to ask that we are ruled like serfs but are active in our democracy and expect accountability from those we elect?. The same concept that brought European countries advanced civilisation for over a century.
Is this not the very core of democracy?. The idea that, all men (I mean it as broad as it gets) are equal. Since the British ”Magna Carta”, Enormous numbers of people around the world have fought and died for this principle. One vote, one man, of equal balance, no matter they be”Prince” or “pauper”. It is a national shame that the UK parliament tried to overturn this fundamental principle.
Over the last 15 years, data demonstrates a rise in the popularity of nationalist populist parties which if the trend continues, would mean a right wing dominated EU within the next 2 EU election cycles. If anything, this trend appears to be accelerating, perhaps in direct response to the increasing disconnection between the EU, as an institution, and those it rules. Meantime, senior EU officials use ever more extreme language with talk of ”Empire” and the need to militarise and the purpose to which such an unaccountable military force might be put. A unique situation. A completely unaccountable army which could become one of the largest in the world, totally outside of democratic accountability and control. One wonders why Europeans are not more demonstrative at the creation of what is basically an enormous stick, ideally suited, to be the one used to beat them if they dare dissent.Doctor Evil.
4. Doctor Evil himself is predicting it.
Everyone’s favourite anti democratic ideologue is depressed!. It seems that even Mr Soros is upset. Despite the tens of billions he has pumped in to influencing and controlling the EU, it seems that even Mr Soros seems to believe that the EU is on life support. The only question is, was this always his intention anyway?, or did he make a misstep and lose money destabilising an enormous economic area?. Given his proven ability to destabilise national currencies for massive personal gain that would be the next logical step. Was this all an ideological project?, or just an extraordinary currency gamble?. If so, it was his ‘Magnum Opus” but the reason for it makes no real difference to the effect of the outcome.
5.Civil Unrest
Apparently, Europeans are unhappy. They have to support an organisation with absolutely ”zero” gdp, but the budget of a large country. That means taxes that mean that ordinary people find it hard to survive. Policies concerning ”free movement” ensure that they never could. So we see the rise of organisations like the ”yellow vests” of France and those now springing up all over Europe. Though this group are one example in one country , they have inspired a spirit of freedom which the EU did not seem to have anticipated.
6. Looming financial crisis.
The European financial system learned nothing from the financial crisis of the last decade. The monetary european is structurally unsound, European banks vastly overcapitalised. The whole Euro zone looks like one great ponzi scheme where even the apparent GDP growth (as pathetic as that is within the Euro Zone), is simply a transfer from one country to another. So while there are some temporary winners and losers, at some point, it becomes obvious that real sustainable growth is simply not there and this ”borrowed success” begins to become all too obvious. The symptoms of this are already manifest in many Eurozone member nations.
