Canada’s favourite comedian is still it’s Prime Minister but the joke seems to be its justice system.

On March 4th 2019 Jane Philpott,  one of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s closest allies, resigned unexpectedly, after posting the following on her twitter account:

‘It grieves me to resign from a portfolio where I was at work to deliver an important mandate. I must abide by my core values, my ethical responsibilities, constitutional obligations. There can be a cost to acting on one’s principles, but there is a bigger cost to abandoning them.’
Jane Philpott (@janephilpott) March 4, 2019 – Senior minister – Cabinet Treasury Board.

She has told the press that Justin Trudeau and his cronies in the liberal party have corrupted Canada’s justice system and that she cannot, in, good conscience, be a part of his cabinet.

In her statement she described why she felt that she had no choice but to resign:

‘The solemn principles at stake are the independence and integrity of our justice system. It is a fundamental doctrine of the rule of law that our attorney general should not be subjected to political pressure or interference regarding the exercise of her prosecutorial discretion in criminal cases. Sadly, I have lost confidence in how the government has dealt with this matter and in how it has responded to the issues raised,”.

This is the third senior figure to resign from Justin Trudeau’s inner circle which began with the resignation of Jody Wilson-Raybould. former Attorney General and her subsequent testimony alleging various serious corruption and attempts to pervert justice in an on going criminal corruption case involving a major corporate political donor to the party.   The former Attorney General, alleges that, Justin Trudeau and other senior figures in the Trudeau government, Gerard Butts and Kathy Telford lobbied her for 10 months in an attempt to pervert the course of justice by attempting to prevent the matter from being properly investigated as a criminal matter, requiring of her that she simply issue a fine and pursue no criminal action. She further alleges that because of her unwillingness to treat a party friend and major donor with any sort of preferential treatment, the three were involved in a campaign of harassment and intimidation culminating in her being reassigned by Justin Trudeau outside of a justice portfolio entirely, to Minister for Veterans Affairs.    An area in which Justin Trudeau has utterly failed in his responsibilities throughout his presidency.   There are active campaigns by veterans trying to obtain fair treatment from the Trudeau Government for many years.

That senior political actors would involve themselves in a case such as the SNC-Lavalin scandal is extremely serious to begin with.  But such is the deep relationship between this company and the Canadian Liberal Party.   SNC-Lavalin are alleged to have spent around $50 Million dollars on bribes to former Libyan President Gadaffi, his cohorts, and son.  Indeed, even inviting his son to live in Montreal, Canada.  There are allegations that SNC-Lavalin funded a lavish and debauched life in Montreal for the son of the Libyan dictator, financing strippers, pornography and prostitutes out of petty cash.

Former dictator Moammar Gadaffi was a gangster on an international scale, and his diplomatic and national leadership position gave him the ideal opportunity to bring a reign of terror that put him among the most brutal regimes on the planet. Hi regime were synonymous with mass murder, corruption, torture and intimidation.  Yet, even his international pariah status and presence on proscribed individuals lists around the world didn’t stop this Canadian corporate from allegedly paying him and his gang of cohorts tens of millions of dollars, thwarting international attempts to block his sources of funding and promote regime change in Libya.  It appears that, not for the first time, the international community have learned than, with friends like the Canadian liberal party standing behind you, you don’t need enemies in front of you. For someone that loves Canada, and many Canadians, the liberal party have been a disaster for Canada and the reputation of Canada worldwide.

Needless to say, Prime Minister Trudeau was eventually able to remove his critics from post and appoint someone he may believes is more easily controlled but by that point, the cat was out of the bag and even the enormous and highly morally questionable payments to the mass media could not put this cat back.

Yet, where is the criminal investigation which seems so vital to Canada from a constitutional perspective?   Surely, even Justin Trudeau has to be pretend that he is not completely above the law of the country he was elected to represent?

Despite the body of evidence and detailed testimony, despite the resignations, there has yet to be confirmation of a full criminal investigation.  There is a public campaign for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to launch a criminal investigation into the behaviour of Prime Minister Trudeau and his cohorts which seems to be being led by indie news organisation ‘Rebel Media’ (check their website to sign up).    This is a serious matter, if these allegations prove true, Justin Trudeau and those so convicted could receive a 10 year prison term and rightly so.   But regardless how far the corruption of the Canadian legal system has gone.  This affair has seriously damaged the reputation of Canada abroad.  It is essential for Canada to be seen to investigate this matter and if necessary, bring those accountable to justice, no matter who they are.

The Liberal party of Canada are known to be very deeply entwined with extremists and ethically concerning organisations from around the world.  There are deep links to some very bad actors from the Middle East, more concerning and direct than those corporate donors that do business there.

This is a constitutional crisis for Canada.  What it has done, is shine a light on just how corrupt and unreliable an ally, Canada may have become. With commentators questioning whether Canada should actually be listed as a known money laundering destination or a corrupt jurisdiction, with all the enhanced financial provenance and regulatory controls which this entails.

Indeed, supremeleader.eu would even go further and have authorities look deeper into the role of Canada as an enabler of Islamic terrorism worldwide. (See SupremeLeader.eu 02-11-2018) Thanks to the involvement of the liberal party and Justin Trudeau in particular, with some of those bad actors worldwide.

Despite the growing petition and mounting pressure to investigate this matter, as it should be, a criminal investigation, so far, the silence from the Canadian judiciary has been deafening.  It does appear that there may be some truth to Jane Philpotts tweet, as evidence by the absolute failure to investigate such an extremely serious matter.

This is the Justin Trudeau that proudly told the world press that, he doesn’t think of himself as Canadian.  He made that clear time and time again with his actions.  His alignment with organisations that fund enemies of Canada and the west in general, even at times where Canadian troops were in involved in actions against those he would promote.  As well as his attacks on Canadian Christian voters in particular leading to international condemnation and commentary from Ministers around the world.  This is not a man thanks thinks highly of the reputation of Canada and this is the continuation in an escalating pattern of behaviour.

UPDATE:  The OECD has sent a letter to the Canadian government reminding them of their obligations:

“As a party to the (OECD’s) anti-bribery convention, Canada is fully committed to complying with the convention, which requires prosecutorial independence in foreign bribery cases,”.

It appears that the working group is monitoring the situation in Canada to understand what the Canadian authorities are doing to ensure compliance with treaty obligations concerning rule of law.  Meanwhile, rather than claim responsibility, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau actually doubled down on his already incredible position and actively seeks to change the regulations and make them more robust.  So there is currently, the ridiculous situation whereby, the Canadian Prime Minister, facing serious and credible allegations, rather than doing the right thing, starts meddling with the regulations, to protect the system, from himself, in future.

Five former Attorney General have now written to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police urging them to investigate these accusations.
