Pope Francis finally had enough of the European Union, referring a recent report to the sort of thinking that could be expected from the former Nazi party this week. This response was prompted by a leaked 30 page report which see’s the supra-nationalist organization intending to replace ordinary language, with their own woke wording.  An old but effective tool of controlling populations and limiting speech and expression

In an unprecedented comment he pointed out that the European Union will not survive if it continues to ‘take the path of ideological colonization’.  This follows the release of a 30 page report by the European Union last month in which was leaked to the world outside Brussels in which many commonly used phrases and terms were recommended for replacement.  However, it was likely to be the replacement of the term ‘Christmas’, with ‘holiday period’ to avoid causing offence, which was like the step too far for the Pontif which prompted a very strongly worded statement from Pope Francis.

Increasingly the European Union appears to be taking an increasingly hostile stance when it comes to Christianity of all forms.  It is noticeable that no other religious holidays and festivals were targeted for replacement in the report.

This latest gaff by the European Union being just the latest example of hostility towards Christians and Christianity itself.  Ironically, some members of the senior echelon of the EU, have themselves referred to being Christian.  But surely it must be almost impossible to claim being a Christian and part of the EU machine.  Doing so, and truly believing so, must make for an interesting round of mental gymnastics and a staggering lack of self reflection to remain both part of the EU machinery, and yet still describe oneself as a Christian.

Pope Francis himself referred to the report as ‘fad watered down secularism’.

The Pope was joined by other members of the Vatican in criticism of the European Union with Cardinal Pietro Parolin commenting that this is the European Union ‘trying to cancel our roots’.  We suggest that neither party pay a visit to the ‘House of European History’ in Brussels lest they have a seizure.  Ignoring the Christian traditions which made western civilization possible is what they do in order to try and create a new narrative. Exactly as the Cardinal himself said ‘we certainly cannot forget that one of the main influences, if not the main one, was Christianity itself,’.  But you can bet the European Union are giving it their best shot. 

However, the latest European puppet, European Union President, Ursula Von Der Leyan herself (Being awesome in her achievements of her own account haha) has often championed replacement of language and speech herself.  So it is hard to see this weaponization of language for propaganda changing any time soon.  After all if you can compel speech, you can limit and thwart democratic debate.  A tool which the original Nazi party, which they seem to be trying to emulate, used so effectively. Pope Francis could not have been more correct and seems entirely right to point out the obvious dangerous ideological precedent.

Bringing about a post democratic age in Europe is one of the core ambitions of many at the heart of the European Union.  Expect more correcting of your speech and finally your thinking, in the coming years if these people are not stopped. Orwell himself could not have made it up. 

With no small Irony, Pope Francis made these comments in the ‘Vatican News’ after returning from Lesbos in Greece. Where he went to see for himself, the result of the European Union’s disastrous migration policy at the camp there. Referring to it as ‘the shipwreck of civilization’.  The policy, championed by Angela Merkel and previous EU leaders has been one of the greatest humanitarian disasters since world war II, destabilising three continents, and has been widely criticised around the world.

This was not a good time for the EU to have such a controversial and blatant leak and they have been quick to roll back following comments.  However, this has been another extremely self defeating excercise at a time when faith (sic) in the EU and governments is at an all time low.
