The European Elections are now finally over with votes counted and only anomalies to be reviewed. If there is one big winner in Europe, it is the populist nationalist parties which have surged, as predicted, across many countries.
However, there is a seismic shift taking place under the surface of these results. While the message to the EU is clear. People want to take democracy back and they reject the EU globalist project of mass immigration and population replacement. There is a deeper story here.
Voter turnout in European elections, while slightly better than last year, is still dismally low, and that should concern us all. In some countries, such as the UK (36.5%) and others, it was truly abysmal. Are European citizens becoming increasingly disenfranchised despite the constant propoganda bombardment.
The EU has always been something of a fanatics project, with those with interest more enfranchised than the general population. The growing tide of Euro scepticism and dismay at changing conditions for many European citizens has sparked interest, as decisions made at the European level start to manifest in the lives of ordinary people. However, with globalists in control of the popular news and narrative, finding factual unbiased information is extremely difficult and citizens begin to believe that they have no voice and that their votes, simply do not matter.
While, in most nations, people feel that the actions of the EU is becoming more of an issue in their lives, there is still apathy and a feeling that it does not have much to do with them, until the effect starts to manifest in their street.
So, many citizens are unlikely to vote and in some countries, many people are disenfranchised and would not necessarily know who to vote for and what those they might vote for, stand for. Mainstream media is now notoriously unreliable and does not perform the essential democratic function of providing a critical adversarial press and is indeed, controlled by the same cabal of globalists so influential in Europe. The difference is, that today, the people know it.
It has become increasingly obvious that the general population know very little about Europe or how it functions. Despite the efforts of this site and those like it to englighten them the volume of those that attempt to take their information from an EU website and simply repeat it or publish based upon a particular view can drown those people out. Look at the massive social media censorship taking place. Unless you have billionaire business behind you, it is incredibly hard to inform the public. Worse, there is widespread collusion between silicon valley and globalists. Remember that famous gaff by Mark Zuckerberg and Angela Merkel when they thought the mic was off?
So, let’s take a look at who and the European parties they are all about. I am going to start with the Presidents as a large portion of the population cannot even name them. Of course, they are not elected, they are appointed and MEP’s are lucky if they get a choice from two candidates so in a sense, why would you as you don’t get much choice.
DO YOU KNOW WHO THE EU PRESIDENTS ARE?
The vast majority of European citizens cannot even name the Presidents of the three main institutions, which just in case you are wondering, look like this:
Jean-Claude Juncker – President of the European Commission
Donald Tusk – President of the European Council
Antonio Tajani – President of the European Parliament
Virtually none at all know that there are actually 7 Presidents which control power in the EU.
Viorica Dancila – Presidency of the Council of the European Union (Not to be confused with the above)
Koen Lenaerts – President of the European Court of Justice
Mario Draghi – President of the European Central Bank
Klause-Heiner Lehna – President of the European Court of Auditors*
* Called a court, the EU has its own auditing body but it has no judicial function at all. Leading to the claim that it is all something of a PR exercise or an internal unaccountable function at best.
Some very notable successes have led to the Euro sceptics now controlling the largest voting block within the EU. This is of limited merit of course as the parliament itself, does not hold the same powers as a national parliament. Most notably, because members unable to propose any legislation which rather demonstrates the nonsense which undermines the democratic foundations of this organisation.
When it comes to the alignment of national political parties within their corresponding European Political party, ordinary people usually have absolutely no idea what they are or where they stand. This is made even more obscure by the parties themselves as they rarely seem to stand for, what they claim to be. Indeed they use misleading descriptions and terminology, even when it comes to the naming of the party which are contradicted by their actions within the EU, with a few notable exceptions.
KNOW THE POLITICAL PARTIES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
- SD – Social Democrats – Far left socialists.
Typical leadership alignment – Pedro Sanchez
Direction: Far left socialist. One of the parties that do not hide what they truly stand for, they are exactly what you would expect them to be.
Fundamentally, they claim that want equality and a consistent social contract Europe wide. They talk of equality for all, reshaping capitalism and ”power to the people’ and other typically socialist slogans as one would expect. They have a 100 policy plan to revolutionise Europe. Fundamentally they are about ‘Equality’. It seems to be the sort of equality, where you work for it, lose your standard of living and entitlements and accept half so you can hand that half to someone else that did not earn it. Because…”Equality”!. They want to change the already undemocratic voting system in the European Union. They want an even more weighted system. Giving more weight to smaller states to ensure that the voting of the large countries (the only net contributors), have less say on issues. The current system already has a gerrymandered voting system where some smaller nations receive more than a proportionate number of votes, however, the social democrats would go further yet. They are behind NGOs in across Europe and the Balkans where huge amounts of this sort of aid are laundered.
The SD talk with African governments about sustainability, while supporting initiatives like mass migration that are destabilising Africa. They wish to increase humanitarian aid for the migrant crisis in Europe, attracting more migrants and risking more lives in the process. The want to balance the burden of this aid more equally between all member states and begin to fund Syria’s neighbours. They also wish to impose migrants upon all members and impose consequences for governments that do not. They also want a change in the ‘Dublin regulation’ which determines that, refugees need to file for asylum in the first country that they reach. They claim this is dead and needs to be addressed. To do this, members need to be assigned a quota, which they will be forced to accept and relinquish control of their borders and migration policy.
- ALDE – LIberal Democrats – Liberal Democrats
Typical leadership alignment – Guy Verhofstadt – In fact, it has become the Guy Verhofstadt cult.
Direction: EU Fanatic. Possibly, one of the most dishonest parties within the EU. Even the party name is misleading. They seek a federal Europe and the abolition of nation states at all costs. Advocate for centralised power and control of member states by the European Union, they could not be less liberal in all but one aspect, which I will come on to shortly. Repeatedly demand that nation states hand more power to Brussels and believe that nations and the citizens of Europe should increase funding for the European project quite dramatically, requiring staggering levels of taxation for many ordinary citizens. Most recently called for a new “empire of the good”. Was there ever an empire that described itself otherwise? Unsurprisingly, this is the party of French President Macron’s ”En Marche”.
Neither liberal, nor democratic until it comes to big business interests, at which time, they seem to be very liberal indeed. The ALDE is big business focussed and has worked hard to support the powerful EU Agricultural and Pharmaceutical companies to name but two sectors that are the darlings of the ALDE. Two of the biggest lobby groups within the EU, so at least someone is likely to be making a ludicrous profit while food prices remain artificially high and drug prices remain so high, people literally die because even countries cannot afford them for everyone. The author of the laws that see doctors in prison for daring to suggest that other treatments which have not been approved by the drug companies are actually far more effective in many circumstances. Article to come soon on this.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, because of this big business alliance, the ALDE is one of the most pro mass migration parties in Europe. This is the party that wishes to create the EUSSR by any means necessary and move to a post democratic Europe. Very much for the creation of a type of an industrial military complex paid for by members but accountable only to the European Union. Often overtly fanatic.
- ECR – Conservatives and Reformers
Typical leadership alignment – Ignacy Daszyński
Direction: Typically critical of many aspects of the EU in the ECR are a relatively centrist party in general. This group received a boost from a highly critical and increasingly Euro sceptic Poland but might possibly have been weakened this year as Britains allegiance shifted further towards the Euro Sceptic EFDD. However, there is much alignment between Poland, as a member of this group but the Poland has already allied with Matteo Salvini in a common Euro Sceptic alliance, much as the Hungarian, Slovakian and Hunagarians have done. Together, this Euro Sceptic group are essentially, a roadblock to the extremes such as ALDE and the EPP. This group advocates for reform but unfortunately, have struggled to achieve anything of real note in this regard until now.; With the latest elections however, this alliance becomes a powerful force in Europe, within the constraints of what is possible within the rather limited confines of the European Parliament. It remains to be seen whether this coalition could run into problems when it comes to militarisation.
Poland and others may be inclined to support EU military ambitions due to insecurities about proximity to Russia whereas, other Euro sceptic nations may be horrified by the thought of a growing military capability which may someday be turned upon them.
However, they are united by a desire for decentralisation, light regulation, the ability to do what is helpful for their country economically when the need arises. They are pushing an agenda of increasing democratic accountability from the EU itself and they want increased value for the taxpayers of Europe. In essence, they want simple value for money. They wanted a lot of very sensible reforms. In the past, they have had no power to achieve it! But going forward, with the right alliances, they may be the voice of the middle ground at a time where politics is shifting further and further towards polarisation. However, it should be noted, that no matter how great any majority in parliament, they have no real ability to reform as they are impotent as they are utterly unable to propose any legislation.
- EPP – European People’s Party
Typical leadership alignment – Angela Merkel
Direction: Globalists and therefore strong supporters of the EU, this group tends to describe itself as centre right. It claims to be for a transparent and efficient EU, yet its former leader was council member of the shady European Group that actually steers the EU in secret and with zero accountability. The party of open borders and big business interests, it has much in common with the ALDE. Indeed, it would almost seem to be the illusion of choice, so close are they. But there are differences, if you look hard enough. Being of largely German heritage and control, they are much more obviously representative of the specific national interest of Germany and corporate businesses. Probably best known as one of the biggest proponents for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership between Europe and America, the EPP are keen on the expansion of the EU even further and lobby and support the EU annexation of the Western Balkans. A move which will add even further depress wages and damages conditions for workers in wealthier EU nations. They advocate for energy security, while Germany obtains most of its gas, from Russia. Why bother with an army, when your most likely opponent can just turn off your power. Nothing this party claims to advocate for adds up, unless you consider it a thinly disguised front for big business and German interest. Although, it seem to be that in the last 10 years big business and German citizens interests have become ever more divergent. Who do you think will lose that battle for politicians hearts and minds?
- ENF – Europe of Nations and Freedom
Typical leadership alignment – Matteo Salvini
Direction: A centre right group of nationalist populists. Highly critical of the EU. Concerned about democracy, immigration, open borders and the general direction of EU ideology and the erosion of sovereign power from member states. This group wants to preserve the traditional cultural values of Europe. Stands for the preservation of stable family and traditional values while embaracing trade and mutual support between members. Opposes federalisation, militarisation and medding in the affairs of member states. Pro democracy and anti immigration by nature.
- GUENGL – Nordic Green Left
Typical leadership alignment – Alexis Tsipras
Very much a far left party. There is strong representation from various communist parties, the Swedish far left, the Danish socialist party and even Ireland’s Sinn Fein. Committed to further integration and socialist, communist marxism it is a fairly mixed group. They have stated their wish to disband NATO and strengthen the OSCE. These contradictions are fairly typical of a mercurial and conflicted approach which makes their position on any but the most obvious issues quite ambiguous. Have stated that they would like to abolish the Maastricht Treaty ( The founding document of the EU) and create a new Europe, which would seem to be a sort of socialist / communist EUSSR.
- GREENSEFA – Greens
Typical leadership alignment – Nicola Sturgeon
Direction: Self described ”Change Makers”. A relatively small but quite complicated group which was founded to support predominantly ecological matters. It seems to have been ever more hi jacked by ”liberals’ issues. At times obscuring ecological objectives in favour of a creeping liberal agenda of open borders, ill advised actions to support migration, which ends up endangering lives. The group has a strong focus on rule of law and holding members to account. Such as where there have been issues of corruption such as the murder of Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. They have been highly critical of tax legislation in some European member states and are campaigning for an end to EU based tax havens by multi national corporations. Unfortunately, have a tendency to make sound bite driven and ill thought out demands which may not be reasonable, nor sustainable. This has led to the Green party only being any sort of real force within Germany where they are the go to choice for voters turning their back on Angela Merkel’s CDU.
- EFDD – Freedom and Direct Democracy
Typical leadership alignment – Nigel Farage
Direction: A populist Euro sceptic group. This party does not conform to typical Left/Right labels and can comprise of both political viewpoints, predominantly from the centrist position. This group are advocates for the fundamental rights of European citizens and campaign on the basis of freedom and democracy. They advocate for a truly democratic EU with more transparency. They reject the bureaucratisation of Europe and the creation of a single centralised European super state in which citizens have no voice. They also see democracy as the check against the growing power of a tiny group of people and corporations who would seek to undermine conditions, particularly economic conditions, of ordinary people. They focus on the belief that the legitimacy of any power comes from the will of its peoples and their right to be free and democratically ruled. Members come from a wide range of European nations.
- NA – The Non-aligned
Typical leadership alignment – Variable.
A small number of parties or MEP’s who do not align themselves with a particular position and will typically vote in whatever way they believe is in the interests of their nation. There are not many but the voting on any given issue can be eclectic. The DUP in Ireland would be one example.
